《The Cardigans》這個相當可愛帶著溫溫氣息的團名，是少數來自瑞典能夠揚名全球站上國際舞台的重量級樂團，如同另一個我也很喜歡的Texas德州樂團，"羊毛衫"同樣也是由女主唱擔綱大樑，極富個人特色的女音，配上輕快溫暖的旋律，散發《The Cardigans》特有的清新甜美風格。

關於羊毛衫樂團歷史要從1994年發表首張專輯《Emmerdale》開始說起，該年獲得了瑞典主流音樂雜誌Slitz頒發「年度最佳專輯」大獎後，繼而又以第2張專輯《Life》裡的單曲"Carnival"成功打響國際名號(全球銷售150萬張)，而"羊毛衫"在台灣的知名度則是由"李奧納多"所主演的電影《羅密歐+茱麗葉》而開始受到多一點人注意的，該電影的主題曲正是當時紅到爆炸的單曲"Lovefool"，除了一舉連霸英美電台點播榜冠軍、晉升英國金榜亞軍，更帶動專輯熱銷，在美國與日本均獲頒白金唱片銷售獎。

講了這麼多，原因是今年"羊毛衫樂團"推出了《純羊毛經典 Best Of紀念精選》雙碟裝共收錄了共45首聽不膩的羊毛歌曲，裡頭除了收錄多首站上英國金榜的當年熱門單曲之外，也不乏許多電影主題曲與插曲，例如《羅密歐+茱麗葉》主題曲"Lovefool"與《王牌大賤諜》插曲 "Carnival"(這首後來被楊采妮翻唱過)或是范曉萱翻唱過的"Gordon’s Gardenparty"，總之都是些動聽的歌曲。
